I bought the gravitational induction version, so some of my comments relate to the gravitational induction function. At first I was confused when the device wouldn't turn on when I pressed the power button. Try putting a cup of coffee, tea or soup on the heater before pressing the power button. If that doesn't work, make sure the heater isn't resting on a wire or other object, but is resting on a flat surface. This mug warmer will not turn on if there is no mug on the heating plate. The device now repeatedly refused to turn on when there was a cup of coffee on the heater. The power cord was always routed under the unit and it worked when the cord was removed. Check these things if your heater won't turn on. You can choose from a wide temperature range. Very beautiful. The industry seems to use the term "gravity induction" for these items. It seems dishonest to me. That may be technically correct, but I have an induction hob and the term induction is associated with that technique. To me that means you get great technology you don't get. When used with these devices, this means that it has a weight-activated switch. When you remove the cup from the heater, the indicators will flash. In fact, it doesn't turn off immediately. When you place the cup back on the device, the lights will stop flashing and heating will resume. It turns off when the cup is removed for a long time. I didn't find that problematic. I will say that I don't see the point of the "Gravity Induction" feature unless you forget to turn off the device when you're done with it. it will only be a source of problems. I don't think it turns the heater off when you remove the cup and turns it back on when the cup is replaced. I believe it only turns off the device when the cup is removed for a long time. You really don't want the heater to turn off when the cup is temporarily removed. The heating is very weak. After all, it is powered via USB. When the device is first turned on, you can watch the heat slowly increase to the temperature you set. I have found two brands of mugs that work well with the Cosori drink warmer. Both have their advantages and disadvantages. Cosori stainless steel mugs are well made and look beautiful. I use coffee creamer and don't fill my cup to the brim. The rim of the cup didn't burn my lips. I think they should be dishwasher safe. But the coffee cools down very quickly if it is not heated. I drink half a glass at the table without a heating pad before going to a place where I have access to a heating pad. So I think this is a problem. However, Cosori will warm up a cold cup of coffee. The Cosori mug is a lightweight mug and the device will not turn on if there is very little coffee in the mug. The gravity switch is at the bottom of the unit towards the back, so moving the cup towards the back of the hotplate helps a bit. Howay Cups are ceramic mugs with a flat base and a steel plate on the bottom. In such a cup, your drink will stay warm much longer. It is used to warm up coffee. It has a wooden handle so I wouldn't wash it in the dishwasher. Because of my habits, Howay cups work best for me. These cups are heavy enough to activate the device when there is no coffee in the cup. The heating capacity of these devices depends on the construction of the cups used. Howay mugs require a higher heating temperature than Cosori mugs to achieve the same coffee temperature. Mixing mug types means you have to constantly change the heating temperature to achieve the beverage temperature you want. I would recommend picking one style of mug and sticking with it.
