My wife and I started sneezing between April and mid-June 2018 for no apparent reason. We thought we had a cold but the only symptom was sneezing. Finally a lightbulb lit up in my head and it occurred to me that I should test my UV system in the air conditioner. It was dead, the original lasted a little over 5 years. We live in Florida, we get thunderstorms quite often, I think the power surge affected my UV system's transformer, the spare bulb didn't come on. I needed a new system. I replaced it with a Honeywell UV100A1059 UV surface treatment system. It took about an hour to remove the old system and replace it with the new one. The new system has been up and running for a week now and I no longer sneeze. I suspect mold has formed in the coils. It gets hot in April when the air conditioning comes on. I can test the bulb in the Honeywell UV100A1059 UV by looking at the plastic viewing window that is in the bulb holder. It's a great system and all of our cold symptoms are gone.
