Review on Tops 55729 Espresso Coffee Forever by Mark Callaham

Revainrating 4 out of 5

nice, small and light moka coffee cup

The Tops espresso machine (Moka coffee pot, to be precise) is small and light, made of aluminium. The construction is nowhere near as solid as the Bialetti Bialetti 6-cup stovetop espresso maker. This has its pros and cons. This is the one I would take on a hike (I can't remember the last time I went camping without a moka pot, if ever). It has heat resistant handles and works as it should, making a very good cup of moka (provided you use good quality coffee, properly ground of course). The moka pot is very similar to a stove top coffee maker, although the water has to go through a tikme instead of boiling the coffee. I actually have a moka pot about half the size of the one I bought in Italy. It is poured into mocha cups. Not that great for smapping either, unless you want to carry around mocha cups ;) I'm surprised the prices are so close to Bialetti. In fact, there is currently one supplier on the market who sells Bialetti cheaper. If I were to buy it for home use, I would buy (and buy) Bialetti. However, if you are looking for a lightweight laptop for going out or cooking, this is a very good option. it is easy to handle. He does what he has to. Easy to use, assembles and disassembles for cleaning. The reason for my 4 star rating is that the workmanship is not as good as Bialetti and their prices are very close.
