Review on ✨ Adjustable Front Lift Leveling Kit for Ford Explorer, Sport Trac, and Ranger - Street Dirt Track by William Rothstein

Nice, BUT, prepare for the “installation battle” to become a reality!

The good thing is that they are forged steel and well finished. As for my 2003 Ranger FX4, I had to wrestle hard three times to get it close and see that when I rotated it, when I clamped it, it popped out of the radius mat on the frame. At this point I couldn't slide the crossbar adjuster through the crossbar, sweat was pouring down my eyes and the outside temperature was 90ºF for an hour, oh my god! I figured I'd just put the OEM key back in and that's it. After cleaning and painting the old OEM key, I noticed that the OEM key has a much smoother radius to fit the frame pad while the SDT keys don't, and has sharp square edges that scratch the frame demonstrate. Contact pad of the frame fairing. So now I'm going to take them and shape them on a belt sander to match the OEM profile only in the mating area and try again. Will update this later when I recover from arm strain and heat stroke. Updated 7/8/19 after grinding the rear contact pads with the frame pads. The buttons sit fully on the frame pads, lube them well and they fit like an OEM. You still haven't gone down in the altitude settings. Everything is fine quality, just expect to narrow the rear radius a bit to match the frame overlays.
