If you've seen my other shoe reviews you may have noticed that I'm trying to find the right shoe for my 92 year old husband so he can go out in public and not look like wearing flip flops or slippers. He has small, narrow feet but a high instep. The saving grace of these loafer-style sneakers is that the upper is fabric, so we were able to stretch it just enough to fit his instep. Once they're on, they're comfortable, at least that's what he tells me. This style is casual, with tan leather soles and navy tweed uppers, but here in Southern California it's still great for the occasional trip to a meal or barber's. I wish there was a little more sizing flexibility and the loop on the back was a little bigger and stronger. As he said, he really can't get his toe in to use the loop to put the boot on. However, good casual shoes are a step up from slippers.
