Watch out for the toes: Platters

I replaced the platters with these wheels, they give me more maneuverability. While they're cool to use, I have a few concerns, with the caveat that they carry a 400-pound workbench. Firstly, no matter where I put them, on the ends of the legs or on the front and back of the legs, I find myself snagging on electrical cords and hitting the magazine. In addition, these wheels absolutely do not like small dust particles or chips, they constantly slip and stall. This isn't the biggest problem I have though, when you're pushing a heavy object like I mentioned with the 400lb bench, they want to move in all directions, I don't find the wheels very interactive when you're pushing them Pushing the bank and constantly having to strain the bank in all directions. I go back to the swiveling pool rollers. I'm not saying these are bad rollers, I just don't think they are made for really hard work and uneven floors or surfaces. Another issue is that it is very difficult to use the workbook when they are off and the locking pin is up to grab and push down, it pops up and locks in a vertical position so I'm stuck have to bend down to grab them. Pivot down and then push your foot.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Good but not great
