I bought several of these. After understanding the instructions, they will be very simple and convenient. I wanted to find a way to protect the catalytic converter in the car from poachers by mounting these side by side. I'm still trying to figure out the best place to attach it so it doesn't melt, but the added bonus is that the entire car is alarmed once installed. You can adjust the sensitivity and it works when you suddenly open or slam the door. I'm thinking of putting one on my truck door and vespa. Place it in a place where the sound can circulate freely but where a thief cannot close the "speaker" hole. I would also suggest getting stainless steel straps as the ones that come with them cut or snap easily. The alarm gives a 2 second warning before going off fully so that can be both a plus and a minus. Personally, I think it's good if you have a good installation location, because then it doesn't trigger unnecessarily and doesn't have to be activated all the time.
