I don't even know where to start. I bought two sets of these, I think it could be stronger if the area is smaller and the gate is heavier. But my 10 month old knows how to loosen the plastic screws by shaking the whole thing until it comes loose, then twisting the screws until they fly off and you have to look for him under the couch or somewhere. It's not solid despite all the attachments and stuff, the suction cup attachment under the plastic support doesn't stick to my hardwood floors so the whole thing wobbles. I even put a plastic support on top to hold this gate in place all the way around and it still wobbles back and forth, it's not heavy or strong enough. Also, without supports at the top and bottom, these gates will not stand upright. Folding is also problematic as you have to go around it, pull out the supports and loosen the plastic bolts, after which it folds. Transport is also a challenge as it takes up a lot of trunk space. Such a headache. If anything, I'd trade the portability for a sturdier one if I could. I prefer to be stronger than portable. It's a bit sturdier, if you don't use the doors at all the door is very useless. What I mean is that it opens and closes but has a gap that makes it very easy to tip over. Overall I wish I hadn't bought this, I thought it was better than my previous one I bought 10 years ago but it's no better. The moon shaped cutouts are cute but my son uses them as a step to get off, as they are not heavy or strong the gate eventually tips over and they all fall off. My advice is not to buy plastic gates. These children will find a way to break free.
