Review on Efficiently Detect Wire Breaks in Any In-Ground Pet Fence with PetSafe Wire Break Locator from Parent Company of Invisible Fence Brand - Repair and Reconnect Wire Components Included by Maria Fukushima

Revainrating 5 out of 5

My hopes for the cure were justified. My expectations were exceeded.

We have an invisible dog fence that encloses approximately 3 acres of a 5 acre property. The depth of the wire is quite shallow and we managed to cut it many times. In the past I've spent hours in desperation, digging more trenches than I care to admit to find and fix bugs. On the rare occasion that I can't find/fix an open circuit, a call to service from an invisible fence is worth more than this product. This time I managed to cut the wire while airing the yard. I had a rough idea of the likely cutting area, but it was still quite large. With my previous methods, I shuddered at the thought of how long and how much digging it would take to find and fix it. After a little research I ordered this product. I was hopeful but also a bit skeptical considering that high quality commercial wire detectors cost much, much more. viewfinder. Run the wires from your fence to the test block transmitter, connect two ground wires and run them to the ground studs (included), plug them in and you're 99% done. For the last 1%, put two AAA batteries (not included) in the receiver (which happens to look like the invention of a golf club and metal detector). Turn on the receiver and start looking for a pause. Even though I had a rough idea of where the break was, I wanted to test the tool and really see how it worked. I started with an invisible fence transmitter and began walking along the fence line with the tool as instructed. In less than a minute, I settled in and followed the receiver's signal until it broke. The sound and light on the receiver changed exactly as instructed. I spent a few more minutes going back and forth through the gap zone to really sharpen. After digging a small hole I found myself just a foot away from the break which was about 125 yards from the transmitter. After 5 minutes I fixed it and refilled the hole. This is an exponential improvement over my previous dig and pray methodology. Conclusion: I followed the instructions. The tool did exactly what the instructions said. I found and fixed the gap with a high degree of accuracy over 100 meters from the starting point. My hopes for the cure were justified. My expectations were exceeded. I'm sure it will work just as well next time. And I guarantee there will be a next time.
