Review on πŸ”‹ ANCEL BA201 Car Battery Load Tester - 12V Automotive Starter Cranking Charging System Analyzer Tool with Digital Display for Bad Cell Test - Red by Justin Sharp

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Does not read as stated in AH! Better reading results compared to BA101.

Update 5.4.20: I felt like there was a dimension missing and of course I was right. The UK standards, which rate batteries in Ah rather than CA or CCA, are listed on the website and on the back of the pack. When in doubt, I also checked Ansel with her software on her website for updates. The software suggests holding down the OK button while connecting the USB cable, but there is no OK button on this device. An educated guess told me to hold enter and it worked. After the update, the GB and Ah standards are still missing, moreover, the update made the tool READ EVEN higher! Initial Review 5.2.20 I have an unboxing video of this product comparing it to the Ancel BA101. My unfounded assumption is that this tester is LESS accurate than the old model simply because the test is much faster (1 second as advertised) or because the algorithm has changed. The only comparison I've made is just an off-vehicle test for now. I'll be testing more features/tests over the next few days. Good screen quality, easy to read. My only concern is that it showed much higher CCA and CA values on two different 3 year old Duralast batteries compared to the BA101. These devices added the ability to display the voltage waveform. Not too impressed to be honest, at least compared to older/cheaper devices.
