Review on πŸ”΅ HIC Silicone Cannonball Sphere Mold: Perfect for Ball-Shaped Molds by Jonathan Brendemuehl

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Requires some technique

Looks exactly like the picture. A small piece of paper with instructions on how to fill it out is also included. However, it's not the most intuitive to use. Adding water and squeezing the top half requires some finesse. Sometimes the longer sides of the silicone top curl inward when filled with water. These gaps can result in water loss or a flat sheet of ice connecting all the ice balls together. After filling, it must be taken with two hands. I personally haven't had any problems with it, but remember that it's made of silicone. Very flexible, especially when heavy and filled with water. If you have a fuller freezer, make sure you have a flat, level surface to set it on. Otherwise you are guaranteed to either ruin the ice or end up with very deformed ice.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Has problems
