Over the past 25 years I have connected many high quality car radios. When it comes to powering your amplifiers I have always used quality name brand amplifiers and speaker cables. A few years ago I had the opportunity to hook up some home surround speakers in a material I hadn't used before as I ran out of wires for my old Stinger 16ga speaker. I tried this stuff and was really impressed - at first the KnuKonceptz speaker cable seemed to fit the high-end cable gauge. Anyone who has worked extensively and exclusively with high-quality wire for some time will tell you that when you pick up a regular wire, you are alarmed by its thickness. That's only because these well-known brands of car stereos have been oversized for decades. Second, this speaker cable was very thinly twisted. Not only does this make the cable more flexible, the raised circular mils actually allow the wire to carry more current than the same wire with fewer strands. Third, the cable jacket was very flexible. Something a cable in a plastic or PVC jacket can't claim to do. Yes, fine-wire copper also plays a big role in its flexibility. But the sheath allows the cable to bend easily. Finally this is pure oxygen free copper wire that probably should have been my first article. It's not the cheap copper clad aluminum cable that many companies are currently trying to sell, but the cladding and manufacturing process prevent the copper from coming into contact with oxygen, so it doesn't tarnish and remains friendly to your connections. All in all I'm happy to buy this product as long as they make it at this reasonable price!
