This is a great product. I used to have a competing product (Vinturi). Elevino is better for several reasons. Both do the same thing well - aerate wine as you pour with the Venturi effect. If you haven't used any of these and drink red wine, you should. They make regular wine taste great and good wine taste great. The instant aeration removes some of the harshness of the alcohol in the wine. I've found that using a good aerator like the Elevino is about the same as decanting wine for an hour or two. Elevino is better than Vinturi because of its construction. The "Vinturi" air intakes opened perpendicular to the drain at the bottom of the bowl and right next to the handle. This is problematic as it's easy to accidentally close the inlets, especially if you have large hands. Elevino prevents this by using a tube that runs vertically through the bowl for air supply. Elevino is also better than Vinturi because of its price. That's less than half the cost of most Vinturi models at Revain. This is really great value and highly recommended if you drink wine (especially red wine).
