I've been using Tapcons for 30 years and have never had a problem. The screws themselves are very reliable. They sit well in the drive bits, screw in quickly and bite securely. Ask them to do something outside of their design parameters and they'll squirm or grab their heads, but usually in a nonchalant manner. A little hint for beginners/newbies: order the screws a little longer than you think and drill the holes a little deeper. The tip of the screw is long and has a shallow taper, so the first 1/4 inch thread bite is almost lost. Two reasons for my "thing" rating: above, but unless you have magically soft concrete with no aggregate, you certainly won't be making a hundred holes. Bit was missing from this pack (see thing 2) but I used many other ITW bits/Tapcon for reference) 2. Packaging/Shipping - Screws and bits should have stayed in their flimsy styrofoam box with hinged lid in my opinion. However, this flimsy box was placed in a flimsy, padded mailing envelope. Let's say I have a mostly mangled envelope full of screws sticking out everywhere, not a crumb, and a dented factory box. I don't think all 100 screws were there, but no time to count or give back - they are needed NOW. won't be disappointed with the product but good luck with the packaging.
