I'm surprised at how much I love this set of oven mitts. I had some old fashioned quilted oven mitts and they were very dirty and burnt in places so I decided to try this silicone version. Large Oven Mitts are great for handling large, heavy items and loading and unloading food from the oven. The silicone is very grippy so you don't feel like things are slipping and it rinses off very easily. I also like the small tong holders for retrieving small items like hot bowls from the microwave or just moving items on the stovetop where larger oven mitts would be either overkill or cumbersome. I even use coasters all the time. They are so light and easy to move around compared to some of my larger ones and I like that they don't slip. Sometimes I get nervous with big pots on my little hard coasters, a big hot pot can slip or tip over but not with these! I cook a lot and didn't realize the difference a good set of oven mitts that I love to use would make.
