Well I won't lie as a Gen X, I love my music especially when I'm in the mood to cook and bake which has been really hard lately since we moved to a new house because the kitchen is portage sized and the soundbar in the living room doesn't really have the full impact I need for baking. I looked around and settled on this particular CD player for my old recorded CDs and I'm glad I did. The portability/size aspect is pretty accurate for the range I had available. It's basically a small spot on the side of the cabinet as that's the ONLY space available for the plug. I wish it had a battery option too, but it didn't change the game for me anyway. And considering how small it is, the sound quality is excellent for such a space. Not tinny at all and actually loud enough to really enjoy what I'm listening to. The pull cord turns on and off fairly neatly, especially since I've mounted it on a command bar and use a small bar for the remote and cord when I'm not playing it. It plays my MP3 CDs, regular CDs, connects to my phone's bluetooth when I'm feeling like a frog for something new, and also picks up a decent selection of FM channels in my area. And the remote control works perfectly in the kitchen and in the adjoining dining room. It also has a memory function: when I turn it on after the last play, it starts with the song I stopped at instead of scrolling forward multiple times.
