Review on Powerbuilt 940962 Digital Torque Adapter by Mike Barnes

I have two of these the first one is chipping but it's handy for a quick check without having to keep a large torque wrench handy. But the battery life is terrible. I mean "use it to tighten a screw and the battery will die horribly". People hacked them to take a big battery. Even with the battery life, it's still a great concept. So I wanted a second one for a farm tractor, that was dead on arrival. So apparently they didn't fix the battery issue or improve quality control. Anyway I think you get what you pay for. I would recommend finding another type. There seem to be several brands that have the same internals. If the button layout is the same, it's a good bet you'll have the same issues.
