If you don't connect the power supply first, your device could burn out.

Well I had a hell of a time installing this, mainly because I was installing it in a 2003 Infinity FX35 I had to run a separate wire from the 'center' brake light so it had a brake light signal , since both indicators flash at the same signal. I believe the reason for the error is that I soldered all the connections but I haven't connected power and ground yet and I had to run to the store when I noticed the turn signal was on and I turned on the brakes, the turn signal would work very quickly so obviously if it is not connected to power at all and you are using the turn signals you can blow it up, that's all I can say as there was no output when the daytime running lights were on, or when the left turn signal flashed and I measured the input and it said 12.0.12.0. but the output was dead and it was not connected. It would be great if these companies that sell these things had a website where people could update pictures of where the wires are for the model they are fitting it into.
