I first bought them for bath bombs, lotion and soap. The bath bombs were too difficult to pack and fell apart when taken out, but the lotion bars worked perfectly. Haven't gotten to lathering yet, but anything that you pour liquid in and let it set works great. Thanks to the silicone, the sticks are easy to remove and as long as they are clean and dry, the writing is clearly visible. As mentioned, they are small, maybe 2/3 the size of a regular bar of soap. The size was spot on for me as they fit perfectly in my travel container but if you need a larger pole this isn't quite right.
