Review on 🏍️ Kawell Motorcycle Switch: 7/8 Inches Handlebar Control for Turn Signals, Horn, Headlight - Ideal for Dirt Bikes and Motorbikes by Matt Crawford

Revainrating 1 out of 5

If you're looking for a switch that holds, look elsewhere.

This is for 7/8" aluminum light switch, horn, turn signals. Turn signal and horn contacts stopped working after 5 months. Headlight contacts fell off within two months while driving a pair of 15 watt LED Headlights W off. An autopsy of the defective switches revealed that the contacts had overheated and had broken off. The headlights were wired directly, but operating current from the horn and turn signals was routed through the relay to relieve the workload. Apparently the 2.1 Watts to drive requires the relay coil, was too big for them.. I'm less than impressed. The die cast body and shift arms, detents and springs hold up, but the contacts and reeds are very very cheaply made.I switched to a Honeywell OEM Polaris International Shifter. My first review was my first reaction. For your information, the button contacts are not designed for this egt to switch the siren at 10 A. Don't connect. Connect the switch directly to the siren, that's MUCH more power. The switch contacts overheat and melt. As one reviewer noted. Use one of the thousands of pre-wired ISO mini-relays (1" cube) to limit switching current by switching the horn across its high current switching contacts. If you're short on space, there are slim relays and "Half-ISO" or "Micro-ISO" sockets that will still switch a 25A resistive load. Googling "ISO relay for horn circuit" and read it quickly. Advantages. This derailleur fits my quad snugly and looks like it belongs to it. I haven't tested the switches' durability when wet, but it seems to work after a few showers. It's a molded case, not plastic, so UV exposure isn't an issue for the case, just the color. minuses. Annoyingly, wire color for switch actions is not provided online or on the 3x5 map. Using a meter, it takes a few minutes to check the switches, determine the function of the wires, and write them down. A 3x5 wire color assignment index card attached to each switch with a rope loop would be nice, or a single PDF sheet. EDIT: I see the colors were posted in this ad.
