It sucks but it's a whistle. It's very hard to get past the ends of the stuff and in a high temp hydroponic system the lines get stiff and take shape and next thing the bubbler fell off lol. It's not the end of the world, it doesn't cost any money to buy an expensive hose that is fully flexible because then you have the same problem in the other direction (it will stretch rather than rigid). I have to buy this in bulk but it never seems like you need a lot and next you need a lot. I use a lighter to heat the end or chew it like gum for a second and it's soft enough to hit and in my experience that's usually enough.
