Review on 🔌 Metra 99-7862 Lower Dash Single DIN Installation Kit & Wire Harness: Compatible with 2003-2007 Honda Accord by Joel Miranda

First of all I have to admit that I am struggling with my decision to order this kit or the one that comes in place of the original. Some of you who have done your research know that there are two different kits. Okay I ordered this one because it's a lot cheaper, the reviews were good and I know that while I'll keep my cars for a long time, I'll eventually get rid of them so it's easier to restore them to their original condition. . I received it on time and the packaging was good. 2 things to watch out for; 1. You should get an antenna extender (I ordered mine after reading other reviews). 2. You DO NOT need to remove the radio and Air Panels to connect the new radio. I also recommend watching a YouTube video on this setup. I have a technical background and found the installation very easy. I install all the house wiring and stick to the color codes. very easy; color to color. My radio doesn't have a backlight so I left it as is and sealed the ends with tape. The plug on my original radio is on the back so it took a little while to unplug it but it was worth it as I didn't remove the entire bezel. The kit fits very well, but in the end my original radio lights up and also the light bulbs and the clock do not light up. I don't know what to do. everything works fine but that. It's still good value for money as you get wired connections for free with this kit. The fit and finish is very good and I might as well leave it as is, but the dash works or it'll be summertime I'll take it and sort the cables. I'm pretty sure it's just the power cord so it shouldn't be hard. Plus, it's worth its price and performance. Now I have an HD radio connected to my iPod. looks very good and sounds fantastic.
