We recently decided to rent out our casita with a kitchenette. I had to stock up on a few things for him, and one of those things had to be a coffee maker, of course. Budget was a factor as well as size (not a lot of counter space). After doing my own research, I decided on the Bella Single Serve coffee machine. If you're looking for a trendy manufacturer with lots of bells and whistles, this probably won't work for you. It's very compact, just black and works well. Straight ahead. Select the amount of coffee, make sure the water tank is full and off you go. You can use a K cup or comes with a coffee grounds adapter. Pretty quick heat up time and I'll say it makes a bloody hot cup of coffee! The Bella single shot coffee maker was perfect for my rental. Also suitable for a student (compact size) or even a first home.
