I am planning to use this solar panel setup for operating portable ham radios in the field. So far this panel outperforms the two existing panels I've used before. This panel definitely increases performance over the old one, even in less than perfect sunlight. The two old panels were approximately 3 feet by 18 inches and only generated 50 watts in direct sunlight. This panel is half the size and delivers about 120 watts in direct sunlight. there is no light weight over 20 pounds. But the convenience of a suitcase design will still be better than dragging two loose panels to the woods. Very solidly built and a zip pocket helps with protection, unfortunately the glass solar panels are on the OUTSIDE when folded. Therefore, care must be taken not to damage them. Anderson's input and output power poles are a nice feature, but they're vertical (+) rather than traditional (+-)(-). Amp Power Pole in this configuration. What about weather protection? looks ok But I haven't had it in the rain yet. The price is about average. Solar panels shouldn't cost more than a dollar a watt these days. But you do get power cords, folded portability, and a built-in kickstand and carrying case. So I would say the price is fair.
