Ordered this straightener based on good reviews. I bought a wide flat iron for my daughter because she has long curly hair and we thought the wide plates would reduce the time it takes to straighten. We have two other hair straighteners: Brilliance New York and Kristin Ess. Both are perfect, but both have 1.5 inch plates and it takes her a long time to straighten her hair. So we bought this one but ended up getting a Kipozi brand hair straightener even though it looks exactly like this one. Unfortunately I can't understand the good reviews. It not only straightens badly, but also inflames the ends of the hair. Lowering the temperature will keep the ends frizzy. Aside from tugging on the hair, it doesn't slip through the hair like my New York Gloss does. Anyway, after half an hour trying to figure out the iron we had to go back to our other irons. I will have to return it.
