I loved how it made an expensive pair of shoes that looked worn look new again. I have never used leather paint. Other than applying paint I didn't know what to do. The shoes looked dull after drying, so I smeared them with shoe polish. It brought back the shine. After wearing them for a day, when I was changing, I saw black stains in the cuff of my pants. That's when I realized that I probably should have wiped the paint off after it dried instead of polishing the shoes. This is my ignorance. It would be better if the instructions for applying the dye indicate what to do afterward. Does it have to be rubbed?
