This is a heavy duty metal whisk with flexible edges, in exactly the same design as the KitchenAid original. Unfortunately, KitchenAid's design leaves a lot to be desired, particularly the unmixed ingredients being left behind at the bottom of the mixing bowl and the product rising up the sides, onto the top of the whisk and around the rim of the bowl when it's me make the icing. I have to stop so many times to scrape down the sides of the bowl that when I'm done with the royal frosting there's a ring of dried frosting on top, but what are you going to do? Imagine my surprise when I bought a plastic wire whisk with flexible edges but with a slightly different but much improved design. The BESUNTEK Flex Mixer whips up a beautiful glaze with KitchenAid in less time and effort than the KITOART Flex Mixer, and there are no unmixed ingredients at the bottom of the bowl or on the rim of the product. No fault of the manufacturer KITOART; BESUNTEK just came up with the best design.
