Bought two of these as Christmas gifts and they were a huge hit. One family has 7-year-old twins, the other a 6-year-old boy and an 8-year-old boy. I contacted my parents in advance because they had to buy fish and the idea was well received. Good for a child who needs more responsibility but may find too much caring for the dog. I haven't seen anything like this before. A seabed of stones and an air pump, if desired, must also be purchased separately, but they are not particularly needed for goldfish. I have a three year old son and a six year old daughter who will probably have one too.
