You could spend less and get a real aquarium

Such a small aquarium can only be used for bettas. All other fish need a good filter, warmth and oxygenation. And yet it's too little to even be worth it. My advice to you is save your money and buy a 10 gallon kit and use it as a starting tank. Then you can keep real fish. Also, goldfish should be kept in at least a 30-gallon tank. Even if you have a 10 gallon tank, please research the fish before purchasing.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • There are nuances

Not for goldfish! Or other live fish!

Very, very easy-care toy. Gravel is extremely difficult to remove and clean without wetting the cardboard backing. After a cleaning, the cardboard background will get wet and that's it. Plastic scratches very easily, parts of the periscope break off easily. Goldfish need a lot of water and that is not suitable for many species of fish. I've never struggled so hard to keep a toy intact, the fish alive, and the tank clean. NOT recommended at all. Save money on a "real" tank.

  • High-quality assembly

Good educational choice Ages 3+

Bought two of these as Christmas gifts and they were a huge hit. One family has 7-year-old twins, the other a 6-year-old boy and an 8-year-old boy. I contacted my parents in advance because they had to buy fish and the idea was well received. Good for a child who needs more responsibility but may find too much caring for the dog. I haven't seen anything like this before. A seabed of stones and an air pump, if desired, must also be purchased separately, but they are not particularly needed for…

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • I really don't like anything about it, everything is fine

Nice Packaging - Aquariums

"Customers who bought this item also bought .". This is something that is easy to overlook when ordering this item. Once the toy is delivered, you might be surprised to learn that some accessories are also needed. It takes a long time to find some of them, and a lot more creative thinking for others (gravel!). And then this connection becomes very instructive, because you have to teach the child to handle the birthday present the way a nurse normally treats patients in the intensive care unit…

Pros
  • Excellent General Features
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Great first aquarium

My daughter received this item for Christmas 2000 and it is in very good condition. It's a bit worn now and we think we'll be replacing it soon. My daughter is an aspiring marine biologist and is very interested in observing her own fish. She started with 2 goldfish but one died within the first week. We then went back to the pet store and bought a good filter that worked wonders to keep it clean and our remaining goldfish happy and healthy. Has been running for over 2 years now with no…
