Review on Multi-Weight Adjustable Dumbbell Set With Free Weights - Perfect For Full Body Workout Fitness At Home Gym For Men And Women With Options Of 12.5/27.5/44/55/66 Lbs. by Jeremiah Whiteley

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I like them, but consider this before buying.

I had an amazon gift card from my employer which basically made this a buy-one-get-one-free deal after purchasing two of the 45 lb adjustable dumbells. Even without paying full price out of pocket and enjoying the product thus far, i couldn't give it 5 stars because there were a definitely a few flaws that you should consider before buying. The base/holder for one of my dumbells came cracked which doesn't affect the use in anyway but just kind of sucks when spending $400 on a set of dumbells. Beyond that I was surprised to realize most of the unit (except the actual weights) is built out of plastic and has a slightly "cheap" feel to it. Before I even used them I had pulled off one of the plastic adjustment pieces on accident and had to replace it by hand. Lastly, these really are not all that small - The two adjustable dumbells take the space of about 4 normal dumbells. With that said, i have been using these for a month now with no issues and it has made a big difference in my ability to continue working out despite the ongoing pandemic. My personal recommendation is that i wouldn't pay full price for these unless money was no issue for you. I would look for a set of kettle bells or wait a little longer until more company's restock their non-adjustable dumbells.

Pros
  • The adjustable weight feature means users can continue to use the same set as they progress through their fitness journey, eliminating the need to purchase new equipment
Cons
  • The dumbbells may be too long or bulky to perform certain exercises, such as overhead press or lateral raises
