Review on Quickone Energy Saving Fuefuki Whistle Kettle by Nikki Byrd

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Pleasantly surprised

We are moving away from the plastic and teflon tools used for cooking in our household. I was also looking for a non-Chinese kettle to make coffee and tea. They are not known for good materials in the manufacture of metal products. Not many others in this price range. The quality of the stainless steel is very good. Light weight, yes. Craftsmanship is top notch. Proper care is all it takes, it is not fragile. Don't put heavy pots on it in the sink and you'll be fine. The turning knob works as it should for me, there are no problems, it stays in place when pouring. The handle will get hot, you must use a glove. (As the instructions say, what I can understand from the pictures is all in Japanese). It heats up quickly, whistles loudly enough, pours without dripping. The natural gas flame underneath has not (yet) discolored the floor. Looks good, works well and shines very well. Nice addition to our kitchen.
