I docked the star because the 'pearl' on one side fell off shortly after opening. To be fair my three year old looked at it but as children often help decorate the tree and it literally just popped out of the box it shouldn't have fallen. If you look closely you can see that it was only 3/4 glued. The stone on the opposite side had several "scratches" on the inside, but this is not visible on the tree. I was able to fix that easily with some super glue. In addition, the star is slightly crooked. I was able to make it look good on the tree by bending it. Aside from the two issues above, I really like this star. I actually looked at a very similar one from a designer that originally cost three times as much. I'm sure if I had two items next to each other I could easily decide which one is fake, but hanging on the tree it looks amazing. I have a 7 1/2 foot thin designer tree and the star is perfect. If you have a fuller standard tree the star may be too small, but if you have a skinny/pencil tree it looks great. Well I had issues with the gym falling, the sequins were secure and all the beads were securely fastened. You can spend beads, which is fun for children. In general I am very happy with the star, it looks great on the tree.
