Review on Xentec XT BALLAST Slim 20120201 Slim HID Ballast by Keith Morris
DC ballast not very good
It worked, although not very well. It took twenty to thirty seconds to "warm up" and reach full brightness, which wasn't as bright as my previous ballast. It also failed to achieve full "white" light and had a bluish cast. I replaced this Xentec 35w DC ballast with another company's 35w AC ballast and the difference was literally night and day. The replacement warmed up in 5 seconds, the light turned white and bright. I'm sure Xentec is fine, just don't buy DC ballasts!
