Review on ๐Ÿช‘ Comfort and Style Combined: Ism PM 2.0 Saddle in Sleek Black by Jorge Kumar

Revainrating 5 out of 5

My favorite ISM for cycling

I have experienced groin numbness when riding and have had issues with chafing and discomfort. I have an ISM PN 3.0 and have tried several other saddles from them (PN 3.1, PN 4.0, PR 2.0) and other split nose options (Cobb JOF 55, Randee, Tenance; Shimano Stealth). I know how to set them up correctly and sit on the bow as intended. They have all caused me distress in one way or another, be it numbness, irritation or both. I was ready to give up road driving but decided to give it another try and bought the PM 2.0. PM 2.0 is my favorite of all. The PN 3/4 had a slightly larger neckline for the boys, but they had two key disadvantages: the foam is too soft and rubbery, it shifted and "collapsed" under my weight, and they have a plastic lip along the bottom, digging into my thigh. / Bar while driving. The PM 2.0 avoids this by using a different type of foam that is firmer and has a "deeper" profile that allows my hips to slide over the sides instead of digging into the bottom edge. The foam still provides comfort and the nose is wide enough to provide relief but not so wide as to cause chafing. Your experience may vary. But for someone with big hips and an average seat length (11cm) like me, this saddle made a big difference. I have found this saddle to be uncomfortable for people with narrow pelvises or who need something softer.
