Bust? No way! in alignment and stabilization

Be careful. This *5000 pounds*e. The jack arrived in good condition and works as advertised. Normally I would give 3 stars to meet expectations but the price and jack construction (screw bearing) are too good. However, you must "thoroughly" check the installation requirements. After careful research I realized I needed a professional installation and after consulting my metal fabrication buddy I bought the jack anyway. With a 5000 pound jack, don't think you have a manual jack that just screws into a trailer ball joint hole. Most likely you have a welded bushing and no hole to work with. The trailer manufacturer states that 10% to 15% of the total trailer weight (GVWR) indicates the weight of the tongue and jack. Be careful, I'm using 50% GVWR to rate jacking skills and I'm still concerned. Example: My 2016 Tundra has a 10,000 lb towing capacity (light truck). I have a 12,000 pound gross vehicle weight enclosed trailer for my plane and gear. This 5,000-pound Husky Jack is spot on; Maximum Truck Weight 10,000 lbs x 0.5 = Jack Capacity 5,000 lbs. Bust? No way! Try using your 150 pound jack with this 10,000 pound trailer on a street slope during a snow storm. someone gets hurt I bought my metalworking buddy a case of beers for a terrific job keeping my 7000lb hand crank in place as a backup. And I drank half of his beer!
