The shaft that the handle rotates on is pressed into the mounting piece (not the strongest fixture) and the handle does not rotate with bearings. The fasteners are attached as if with a metal groove and mandrel, but there isn't enough metal around this fitting to be as strong as possible since it's cast. It would be better if it was made out of a decent steel beam. Looks good and fits. I'd pay double or more to get one made of heavier metal with hardware, bearings, etc. It would be safer. Danger to life and death that can occur in everyday use. You can reach a breaking point with this use (right hand or left hand) that absolutely prevents you from adjusting the wheel in either direction. If you need to steer to avoid getting hit head-on, this gadget can absolutely stop you and you could be killed before you find a workaround. The grip had to be made to stick out higher so that not a single thumb or forefinger could get caught, preventing rotation.
