Good paddle for the price

The Bainbridge was a trial purchase for me and I found a few pros and cons. First I have to say that I am an advanced player and have used multiple racquets in 3 years of playing. My current paddle is the Selkirk Omni Glen Peterson, which has a longer paddle surface and a short handle. Some of the comments were influenced by the differences between Bainbridge and Omni. I liked Bainbridge's "Pop". It delivers significantly more power than my Omni. However, the extra click was a disadvantage when playing a soft game. I think more games would allow me to adapt at some point. The click in the paddle is also accompanied by a much louder noise. This is usually normal with some of the softer balls but can be irritating with Dura or other similar hard balls. I also liked the borderless aspect. My Omni has a rim and I occasionally hit the ball at odd angles due to rim deflection. The biggest drawback for me was the long handle. Claimed length is 5", but mine was about 5 1/4". Thanks to the Omni's shorter handle, I'm used to holding the paddle close to his face and pressing my index finger against his face. Using the same grip with Bainbridge, I found about 1 1/2 to 2 inches of grip below my grip. This proved surprisingly uncomfortable, even interfering with my swing on a few shots. To be clear, this was an issue due to my grip preference. Players who hold their racquet closer to the end of the grip probably won't find this a problem. The longer handle can even be useful for players who like to grip with two hands. The paddle cover is a nice bonus when purchasing. In summary, Bainbridge is a good paddle at an affordable price, especially for beginners and intermediate paddlers. However, I wouldn't compare it to some of the more established brands I've used in advanced play.
