Review on 💾 PNY XLR8 SSD9SC240GMDA-RB - 240GB SATA 6Gbps 2.5-Inch Solid State Drive by Taj Tyagi

Ever since I built my first computer, I've used a hard drive for my operating system. I remember having to turn on the computer and then have enough time to prepare and brew coffee. Now I don't even have time to go to the kitchen and back before the computer turns on. The difference is phenomenal. Of course, I have no idea how fast this SSD compares to others in its category, but it blows all hard drives out of the water. I only wish I could afford a TB SSD. Then I wouldn't worry. UPGRADE TO 1 STAR: I know it's been a few years since I bought this SSD but boy does it age terribly. In the beginning it was ok. Of course, I migrated from an HDD, so any SSD would be better for me. Lately I've been having problems with my computer freezing randomly and even showing blue screening a few times. I spent a lot of time troubleshooting my PC to find out what it was. After downloading the SSD tester, I found that the read/write speed of my SSD is just terrible. I tried other testing programs just to be sure and they all showed the same results. I even tested my 860 EVO and it worked fine. After going online and reading this version, it turns out I'm not the only one having this issue with the XLR8. In any case, I cannot recommend this SSD to anyone. You get a much better SSD for the price.
