This toaster replaces the monthly Sunbeam toaster which was full of junk from the start. Less than a week in use but has none of the Sunbeam weaknesses and lots of good points. If he continues to work as before, I'll be a happy tourist. The old pre-Sunbeam toaster probably lasted 8 or 9 years and still worked fine, but it had ugly melted cinnamon sugar crusts on the inside of some bagels that were almost impossible to remove. If this lasts 5 years to death I will be impressed and happy. If he dies prematurely I will return to lower my rating.
