I didn't get what I paid for. I did NOT receive the Category 7 ground wire and gold shielded ends that I ordered. I have what looks like a Cat 5 labeled Cat 6. It has a nylon center gasket like most Cat 6s and some Cat 5s. But the twisted wires are loose Cat 5, not Cat 6. The connectors are standard RJ -45, NOT shielded. The copper strands are #26 or #28, I believe (I haven't measured them, but I've made a lot of patch cords, so know your wire). Unfortunately I spent a long time crawling around the attic catching cables through two walls before realizing I was stringing Cat 6 (or Cat 5, with Cat 6 not Cat 7) (there was a minimal mark on the cable but it said Cat 6). I wanted to be safe with Cat 7 tomorrow, but hopefully I'll get my current 100Mbps needs with 75 feet of this crappy cable. UPDATE: I have since tested the cable I received. I only get about 1/3 gigabit/s.
