It works out! Just keep trying!

We've gotten another cotton candy from a toy store before and it jumped right out of the box! It got bad reviews anyway so I decided to return it and get this one and the cotton candy with a bag of Candy Express paper sticks. The first time we used it, we followed the directions by heating it for 15 minutes. then add a scoop of sugar. Little bits of cotton candy came out. The kids loved it but thought we were full of sticks. The second time we used it, I let the car warm up for about 45 minutes! This time, after a few tablespoons of sugar, more cotton candy came out. What also helped was that we only turned off the machine while the sugar was loading. We then let the candy "cotton" build up before starting the paper stick. What finally gave us a real cotton candy stick was that we placed the stick on the edge of the top of the machine, held it perpendicular (say, across its plane to the base) and rotated it as if we were roasting chicken or something..something like! We found out that 1 scoop of sugar gives us 1 candyfloss stick. So if you can't, keep trying! Make sure the machine is operational and hot, once warm don't leave it off for too long and keep a stick over the machine.
