Are you an aging golfer with visual impairments? I am 75 years old, I have poor visual acuity in one eye and very severe cataracts in the other. One of my biggest challenges is keeping up with the golf ball, especially in bright, bright, or foggy conditions. Maybe, like me, you've dreamed of a golf ball that lights up on impact and when it lands so you can find it. (Provided, of course, that your ball isn't ALWAYS 300 yards down the center of the fairway. Or even if it is!) Well, these golf balls could be the answer to your prayers. I don't play TPC or Country Club courses and my local field has lots of little daisies and dandelions year round. Plus lots of uncut grass. I almost always play bright frosted yellow green or yellow golf balls or light pink when there are too many dandelions. I've found colorful balls to be difficult to track in mid-air and hard to see in deep shadows or deep grass. With my regular frosted golf balls, I usually see the ball in the air (unless it's light and hazy), but then I lose sight of the ball when it hits the ground. I've just tried a bunch of samples of this Chromax M5 and was able to track and find ALL of them in all conditions. I want to stress that this is a first impression and I haven't played them in every light but even with my poor eyesight I was able to track the ball in the air and on the ground even in the rough. You really shine! To me, the M5 is like a tiny LED that lights up when I hit the ball. I was able to track it in flight and follow it as it landed. (It loses its brilliance in the shade, but you can at least follow the shade it's heading for.) On the ground, it keeps searching for itself. I was even able to find a blue one in a bed of deep daisies. The only one I almost lost was the silver one, which I crashed into a large mass of deep daisies. But despite the fact that I had to search for it a bit, the silver finally stood out against the flowers so I could find it. I would NEVER find a white ball there! I played under a partly cloudy/partially cloudy sky, so there was good lighting but no bright sun. Full sun should set these balls on fire! Haven't tried them in dark, overcast conditions yet, but when they don't work in darker conditions, my light and light (not deep) matte beads tend to work well for me in darker conditions. I can play my cheap reloads and save my $3 M5s for bright, clear days when it's harder for me to see. If you're a visually impaired golfer, don't be afraid to try them out. I hope they help you. You seem wonderful to me. My wife no longer HAS to accompany me (although I'm glad if she does) just so I can find my golf balls. I ordered another box of yellow M5s to try. I'll try to remember to add an additional review after I have more experience with them. worthy Callaways and Titleists. I'm not sure if it's the ball or my extra confidence but the way I play makes me doubt the ball. THE FOLLOWING TWO WEEKS LATER. them for golfers with poor or deteriorating vision. Now I can add a little more detail. They glow less when they go into deep shadows, but (particularly with some colors - more on that in a moment) ambient light still makes them "glow" when you can. Find the shade they sit in. They work best in brighter conditions (then I have more trouble seeing my frosted balls). I ordered several yellow ones and am a bit disappointed. They have a slightly golden hue which makes them less noticeable than I expected. They glow but can almost disappear between the dandelions (which are plentiful at the moment I play the most). So far the most striking colors are pink and green - believe me, they shine like Christmas lights! And pink ones stand out with daisies or dandy. The orange ones are pretty good too - they're pretty shiny (not quite as green or pink), but their unique color makes them easy to tell apart from grass flowers or color variations. The greens shine on the darkest grass on my field (might be different where you play) and the yellows are a little less visible where the grass is more yellow but still visible but not as bright as the greens. I've played them in overcast weather but not in very dark conditions (like late evening or storms). Of course, they also glow brightly in the sun, but the very bright light really rivals the "light" emitted by these golf balls. However, I find it easier to see them in the air, especially against a bright foggy sky background. I will be ordering more green and pink than other colors but I would advise you to order the full range. (You won't get all the colors, but enough) and see which ones work best for you.
