This is my second purchase of a stone lining/heating platform. I spray it with water and it gives my terrapin the moisture it needs. When walking on it, its toenails are "sawed off", when eating, the beak remains of normal length due to the rough surface of the stone. He loves to sit and eat on it under its warm light, especially when it's sprinkled with water.
