Thoroughly impressed!

I have to admit I was skeptical when I saw them, I was intrigued too. So I decided that I should try them. In the past I've used buffing blocks which can be found at any cosmetics store and thought the glass equivalent was unlikely but possible. I also have an Emjoi electric polisher. I love it! Using the buffing blocks or my emjoi took about 15-20 minutes. These little glass files took a while but no more effort than even my powered Emjoi, in fact I really think it cut the time. Also if I use a buffing block or my Emjoi I will have to replace the buffing heads or buy more buffing blocks as both wear out, not these files! All you have to do to achieve a high shine is place a glass file on the nail surface and move it back and forth horizontally until the entire surface is covered. The file grinds the nail while polishing. This is achieved by using two different textures on the textured side of the file. Yes, the textures are only on one side of these files. I'm new to this, not sure if they're double sided to find. These two files come in their own clear plastic sleeve for easy carrying in your purse when needed. The files come with one light and one black file, both files have the same texture and effect. Although they are different colors, they are basically the same. My nails are very textured, I have a lot of combs and this made it easy to polish them. I think if you had a smooth textured nail bed it would be even faster for you. I wouldn't say buffing will damage the nail bed but remember you are removing a thin layer so although it doesn't say it in broken English in the instructions I wouldn't buff the entire nail for future use. Maybe just cover the cuticles with a cuticle once a week and maybe touch up quickly. You'll have to decide what's best for you and your nails, but pay attention to the shine that comes from buffing the ledges. There is nothing to wear off or chip, sometimes the nail surface loses its luster from everyday small scratches and the like. Anyway, they work and work well! So if you used to love polishing your nails and want a simple and effective method that lasts a lot longer than other methods, I recommend this one! They don't wear out like polishing blocks. These files last forever, so they are very economical! I am impressed!
