Review on YSTOOL Universal Caliper Compression Replacement by Michael Morgan

Electric Parking Brake Tool Kit

Save $20 worth of time and effort by retracting the EPB piston back into the caliper. An alternative is to connect a 12V power supply to spin the EPB motor to retract the piston, or remove the caliber rear cover and manually spin the piston back. I find that using this tool makes the job a lot easier.

Pros
  • This caliper piston compression tool is useful for replacing brake pads and resetting the brake piston. The tool can be rotated to push the caliper piston back in, which is necessary for many rear brakes. This also works with some front calipers that need to be pushed back. A very time consuming unscrewing tool for front and rear brake pistons for beginners and professionals.
