I bought this mainly to avoid getting burned again. The one I have now is good too, but the probe is foldable so when you pull it out it doesn't quite stretch out and looks more like an "L" so every time you use it I have to be very careful not to burn your fingers. This product is solid, the numbers are clear, the product is long enough to protect you from the heat and steam. The price is phenomenal. I hand wash it after each use, it's sealed well but why risk putting it in the dishwasher? You will not be disappointed with this product.
