Excellent mirror. But I've actually been using left handed in the US and bought the right handed version to "hang on" now that I'm driving across the road again (in Australia). But the elbows are always in view. I actually found it made more sense to put the left one on the right side of the bike but mount it to fit under the handlebars. When riding the e-bike vertically, this ensures a clear view without being obstructed by your elbows. You still need to position the handlebars as far back as possible, but consider putting the "opposite" side on the underside of the handlebars, especially for an upright position on an e-bike, especially if you use your elbows naturally keep far! But the mirror gives an excellent view of what's happening behind, better than the mirror on our helmet. And the joints can be stretched to keep the mirror in place, but still easy to adjust while driving, or if you bump it into something.
