Review on Strongman Tools Heavy Aluminum Angleizer by Bryan Covington

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great but needs fixing to keep it in place. Here's how:

Excellent materials. Well done. Durable and expected to last a long time. However, the washers between the moving arms are slippery. No matter how hard you tighten the thumbscrews, they will loosen on impact. So if you're working on something that requires multiple uses of a tool, it will quickly get out of reach. Or if you drop a tool, forget it. You will lose your corners. To fix this you can add four slightly larger rubber washers/spacers in place of the original plastic washers. You must complete all four steps. See photos. Then once you tighten it it stays - really good. Otherwise, the tool becomes unusable for repetitive applications that require any accuracy expectations. Also note that the back is wavy. If you think the bars are solid throughout, you'll be disappointed. The reason for using "grooves" is that the locking points can move. I would buy this again. I would also prefer a larger version. 2x2 feet would be awesome.
