I was annoyed with the MIL light coming on on the dash and was busy clearing the DTC for the knock sensor code every week. Knowing the defective sensor, I simply ignore the replacement due to the high cost of the original part on my old car as there were no engine operation issues. In the end I just gave up and lived with the MIL light on until I found this after market knock sensor at an affordable low price. I've tried it and it seems to work just like the OEM and the MIL fault light hasn't been on for over a month.
