Review on Viotek GNV32DBE 32-Inch 2560x1440P Curved Monitor with FreeSync, 165Hz Refresh Rate, and Wall Mount Compatibility by Lorenzo Mims

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great monitor, great price.

5 Stars. but the initial setup was a little tricky and a layman might need to do a little googling to get the color, brightness and contrast right. I had to make a combination of monitor settings changes, in addition to changing the color scheme on the Mac Preferences page. But they end up fitting the 5k iMac screen just fine. My minimum requirements were 27", 2k, 144hz, DP and FreeSync. I needed two additional monitors for my main 27" iMac. They tick all the boxes for the best price on the web. When I first hooked them up, I had to I warn you that they appeared to be locked to 1080p and therefore looked quite pixelated and not very good, however after a few minutes of tweaking the settings and enabling FreeSync they ended up pretty close to my main monitor so maybe the color isn't that great true to life as it is on my main apple 5k monitor and the contrast is noticeably worse especially when displaying darker colors but it's really quite close it's just finicky and no one expected them to hit the $1200 monitor with them for about $250 For the price they are AWESOME!I will also add that they are good at "auto-detecting" which input is being used.I use huh I often have a Raspberry Pi so I often add and remove inputs to these monitors and switching between inputs is relatively easy too, it only takes 3 clicks on the monitor buttons to switch from using Viotek as a third monitor to his to switch usage. be it a separate monitor for one of the other Pi computers. I can't say enough about how surprised I was with the quality of these monitors. They also came with a dead pixel guarantee, but that didn't matter because every pixel was perfect on the two I bought. Shipping was a bit slow but that's down to the seller and we're in a pandemic anyway so it's pretty forgivable and they were only a few days late. That's all. If you're looking for a good primary monitor for Linux, Mac, or even Windows (LOL), this is the best option for your gaming investment in the 27-inch 2K 144Hz curved monitor category.
